Oliver's got solid back position, but he really needs to pull that bar in a little tighter.

Diane

21-15-9 reps of:
225 pound Deadlift
Handstand push-ups

Scaling for handstand push-ups can be any version of box handstand pushups, abMats under head, or dumbell presses. Whatever you do, it better be hard if you want to get stronger (think 3-5 reps before resting). It is better to go heavier with the deadlift than faster. Choose a weight which you can handle for all 45 reps, and move at a pace which allows you to maintain technique.

If you are capable of doing this workout fast, then take a long warm-up to prime the nervous system.

Post what time you plan on coming to the gym to comments.

12:26 Rx’d. I had said it was a 10:00 improvement, but found that I had done it in between that attempt. This turned out to be a 2:30 improvement. Still better, but man those HSPUs were tough again! Deadlifts were all unbroken and pretty easy.

    Okay… couple more things:
    a. Where was Skrypnyk?
    b. Realized that last time I did HSPUs to an Abmat. So even though this time the HSPUs were probably just as slow, at least they were about 2″ longer.

11:16 using 135# for deadlift. HSPU head to floor no abmat. Deadlifts felt terrible, for a while there I was doing 3′s, but the HSPU were pretty good once I found the right positioning and rhythm for the kip, doing about 6 to 8 at a time. Wish I coulda done it with y’all.
