Yeah, the plan is to join in the fun with the CrossFit Calgary “Big Dawgs” gang this 3/1 cycle. From there we’ll probably get back onto CrossFit.com.

Part A: 11:09 as Rx’d
Post workout fueling: ~ 100g of deli chicken, 1 cup of purple grapes, .5 apple. I’ll eat a full breakfast in about another hour (probably some oatmeal, some more deli chicken, a couple handfuls of raw cashews and a glass of whole milk). I’ll eat another meal or two before I stop eating at 1:00 in prep for the next workout.

Part A: 14:14 min as Rx’d
Had a good warm up today so did not feel as stiff although I had a stomach ache when I woke up, so that was not good. Pull ups killed me on this one had to break them up into 4 sets after the first round. Paced myself of the squat cleans and they felt pretty good. I have to coach until 6 tonight so I am going to try and make it to Part B after that. Looks like a good one……

What kind of coaching do you do Derek?
Pullups were brutal for me too! I just tried to do sets of 3 or 2 with minimal breathing in between.

Part A: After some belly-aching I did all 5 rounds at the rx’d ladies weight of 95#. Although I had to pace them out into slow steady singles they felt pretty good, considering they are almost 90% BWT. The timer said 24:14 when I finished but I was interrupted a couple of times so I’m thinking it could have been done in about 20 minutes, if done in a group without interruptions. I probably didn’t even need to pace them out so much.
An elderly couple walked in in the middle of the workout started walking around and making plans to carry stuff through the gym. They completely ignored my “Can I help you?” until they finally said “Don’t worry, it’s ok, we know this place, we’ll just load our stuff through here…” I’m like: “What stuff? It better be my rowers” It wasn’t the rowers… I still have no idea who they were or what they wanted, but I finished those squat cleans!

@brendan
I am a Defensive Back coach for Sisler High School (AAA). We are having our spring camp right now so we are practicing all week and they we are having some “mini” games against Oak Park and Grant Park on Friday.
That is weird about the people coming in?? I wonder what they they are doing? Too bad it interrupted your workout.

Tania, Brendan,
Nice to be back today! The place looks and feels awesome. First day back only did three rounds, that was enough to start.
Brendan,
You mentioned James as your coach? Did you get a change to go see him? Looking forward to OPT work outs!
Cheers,
JT
