    Another yummy recipe!

    http://www.nourishingdays.com/?p=1000

    I tried making coconut flour bread last night and although it’s really tasty I wouldn’t call it “bread”. I tried separating the eggs to make it fluffy (beating egg whites and folding in) but it didn’t help at all, it’s like a coconut brick. I left out the honey, so it’s pretty flavor neutral and I think it would make excellent biscuits, mmmm, finally something to replace rice and bread to soak up gravy, sauce and soups! I’m picturing a spicy curry served with coconut biscuits on the side. For a lunch or breakfast biscuit you could add some orange or lemon zest, or maybe raisins (ick).

    Does anyone have a good curry recipe or a good brand of curry powder?

    Happy Birthday Irene!

    Hotel workout…. tried to rig up some power cleans with some weird cable machine. Then rerigged it for some sort of weird cable rows. Not enough weight plates on the stack for anything other than really high reps. I hate cable machines.

    Then, seeing as how I usually don’t have access to a treadmill I did tabata intervals on the hotel’s. Incline at 12% and speed at 8mph. Wow…. those are really brutal. Very humid next to spa too!

    Anyway, off to the academy today! Thanks to everyone who’s emailed their support to me!

    @Kimberly
    was that “bread” dry? I find coconut flour is so dry…except for those muffins that had alot of grapeseed oil in them.

    @Suzanne
    It was a little on the dry side, hence the biscuit idea, but it was tasty enough that I’ll def try the recipe again, and with no honey in them they pack a good nutritional punch. Any idea how much grapeseed oil I could add and still have bread?

    Tania, I won’t be in today afterall, I had my first physio this morning for my knee and I feel like I’ve been poked and prodded too much for a solid WOD. See you tomorrow morning :)

    Guess I should post my results! I PR’d on the cleans at 70 lbs. My max chin ups were 10/7/7 using the blue band. Can’t remember my time on the runs, only remember that it was very cold!! Wearing a toque in June – what is up with that?

    @Tapout
    Probably 45-65 pounds. Who’s doing that?

    @Tapout
    I would do push press instead of press for tabata, especially at that weight. You organizing a workout?
