turbo_starting

Blast from the past! This is Coach Turbo at her first CrossFit workout and, yes, she is putting her foot in a pullup band. You aren't born doing 30+ pullups!

Push Press 135 lbs

CrossFit Winnipeg is CLOSED on Canada Day (July 1). However, we will be hosting a “Team Workout” at 9AM for anyone interested. Team workouts are designed to be fun and challenging. You will be teamed with at least one other individual to go through whatever challenges the coaches think might be fun to watch you do. It’s interesting how having teammates teaches you a thing or two about intensity.

  • It’s true, I started with a band! I remember that workout well. It was a team workout and it had ‘yay burpees!’

    Did today’s wod in 19:04 using 65# for the Push Press. Was surprised to be able to do all 21 push presses unbroken in the first round. Maybe I should have used 70 or 75lbs…

  • Just took Dodger for a run and decided since I was warm to take the next step in my Tabata pushup challenge. Scored 11 again but only because my elbows weren’t quite locked out before the timer. I’m going to unofficially take the 12 as my score and aim for 4 rounds of 13 and 4 rounds of 11 next time.

  • Press at 75#, could have done more. Next time.
    2X the number for pushups.
