Partner-assisted pullups are the most effective means for developing your pullups if you can't do pullups yet. Find a partner and do them regularly as part of your warm-up or cool-down.

Partner-assisted pullups are the most effective means for developing your pullups if you can't do pullups yet. Find a partner and do them regularly as part of your warm-up or cool-down.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN COMMENTS OR ON WHITE BOARD IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME ON WEDNESDAY MORNING.

A. If you haven’t done your thruster challenge yet, you must do it today.

B. Deadlift 1×5 (increase by 10#).

C. For time: 100 Thrusters (95#). The catch: Every minute, on the minute, you have to do 5 burpees.

CrossFit Winnipeg is CLOSED on Canada Day (July 1). However, we will be hosting a “Team Workout” at Westview Park (aka “Garbage Hill”) at 9:30AM for anyone interested. Team workouts are designed to be fun and challenging. You will be teamed with at least one other individual to go through whatever challenges the coaches think might be fun to watch you do. It’s interesting how having teammates teaches you a thing or two about intensity. Important: if location is changed, we will update the web site by 8:30 PM on June 30.

If you think I’m mean by making you do the thruster challenge and the thruster workout, realize that I’m one of the dudes that has to do it. I’ve been putting of the thruster challenge for various reasons, so I’ll be suffering along with you :)

Came very close to meeting Pukie this morning! That was brutal! Did 100 @30# with 3 burpees inbetween in 16:30. Thanks for pushing me this morning B. I knew I could go on after 60 but was seriously ready to quit at 80. Am really glad now that I did all 100.

MLC, are you sure you want to do this? It was brutal. at one point, I had to stop myself from crying. It was past the point of yelling or swearing, I just wanted to cry, and probably would have if it wasn’t for Will and B. And I used 55lbs instead of 65. Can’t imagine 95… Glad I finished – 17:43

okay… I used to love thrusters…not so sure anymore.

I think this was the toughest workout I ever did at crossfit and I have been feeling “pukie” coming on – on and off all morning ever since.

    100 reps @
    65#
    3 burpees
    15:00 min.

    @Turbo
I saw this on the CFF site and wanted to do it. Only 2 guys in the comments did it as rx’d and the times were VERY long, even for scaled.
And I would not even attempt 95#.
Looks like it hurts so good.

    Ay Carumba! What a WOD!

We are in the finals for Ball Hockey tonight or else I would have come in to do this! I am going to the Team WOD tomorrow and I should be in on Friday so maybe I could attempt this?! However, I might regret saying this after reading all of these comments!
This is a mind over matter WOD…believe you can do it! haha – Ok maybe it’s more than just mind over matter as it requires tons of strength and endurance but hey, we Crossfit because we love the intensity of the challenge and to get through a WOD like this helps you get through the tough stuff life throws your way – “Train to not suck at life”

Body needed a bit of a break today

60 reps @ 65 pounds in 6:51 with the 5 burpees on the minute. Perfect for me today.

This workout made Evil look like the effing sugar plum fairy….I managed 70 @ 55lb and my knee and wrist just gave out, plus I ran out of time and names to call Brendan.
