5:12 Rx’d, which was more than a minute ahead of my previous PR, but i had way too much gas in the tank at the end. think i could probably squeek 20-30 seconds off of this time easily…
went on mad PR run tonight but dropped the ball (or should i say the bar) near the end…no PR…finished in 3:43 rx’d
rd 1 in 58 secs (unbroken)
finished rd 2 at 2:10 then…………………
gassed a bit, lost my balance and dropped the bar a few times …next time I’m shootin for another sub-3 PR and dammit I’m gonna get it!!!
After warming up (read: procrastinating) for about 2 hours, finally went head to head with Shakey, which was great because she kept me on pace. Finished in 8:43 Rx’d. Last time I did Fran was at CF Toronto and it took me over 10 minutes and there is some question as to whether there was 55 or 65lbs on the bar, I think it was 55lbs. My previous Fran, at 67lbs was almost 13 minutes, so this is a new PR by 4 minutes! The thrusters were still what slowed me down but much better than last time. Need to get stronger overhead, the squat is no problem but hitting full extension at the top became very difficult and I even failed once. Definitely the limiting factor in this. As for pullups, if grip wasn’t an issue, I could have done them all unbroken.

Fran is one surly bitch! did it in 12:48 which is weak but I managed to RX the weight next time I wanna RX the whole thing.

Nice job Lisa and Brad – way to go. This is my first time meeting Fran as well. Used 45# and needed the green band. Finished in 8:43.
