Starting fulltime school is putting me in a bit of a downward spiral with my workouts I'm afraid .. just mentally exhausted most of the time. Have to constantly remind myself that I promised myself my exercise habits would not suffer!

That blew. I did this at a reg gym and couldn't do my crossfit grunting/gasping/talking out loud etc...there was literally 1500 pounds of beef on either side of me talking about thier bicep work out on monday and what bar they were going to tonight.. And that took energy holding that in and having that around all in itself.
On paper that WOD looked way not as hard as it was...tough going.
RX'd around the 20 min mark using the gym clock (lost track of time)-i just wanted to finish and get out of there. I missed my box today this is for sure.

This was way harder than it looks, tried to RX it at 50lb, but that only lasted 1 round, then 1 round at 45lb and the remainder at 40lb... did it in 18:35ish and my shoulders are really feeling it.

7 rounds for time:
20 Shoulder Press
20 Sit-ups
15:30? @ 40# (went with about 60% of my 5RM because I knew 140 reps at almost half body weight was utter folly)

@Tapout
I'm with you on the lifestyle thing; you get to a point where you just enjoy it so much that it's not a chore. However, there are always days when I'm just not feeling it. Sometimes, if I know that I need it, I'll choose to take a rest day; but if I'm just being a suck, then the JUST DO IT attitude is the way to go, and I almost always feel better afterward.

Of course, making your living from running a gym is a good way to be consistent...

FS 3x3@135# (rpe 8)

Over the past ten years...working out has become a lifestyle for me...and I love it so much that for the most part I don't have to worry about consistency...I do have to work on ensuring enuf rest and recovery days...this is a work in progress for me and it's coming along quite nicely...

BUT

...thinking back to when I it was not a lifestyle...here are the things that helped me get it done...

- #1...the buddy system - accountability (Nat and I would make dates to meet at gym)
- variety and changing things up (indoor, outdoor, running, cycling, gym, aerobics, yoga, racing)
- feeling passion with what you are doing
- being a part of the Running Room run club helped me (feeling of community)
- seeing and feeling results (mentally and physically)
- having a JUST DO IT attitude...not letting myself over think it and procrastinate
- logging workouts and journaling

Something like 16:27 with 65 lbs. I don't know when my shoulders will feel normal again. That was brutal!!! After rounds 2 or 3 I didn't think I was going to finish. I broke up the first set in 10/10, second was down to 5's and it was 3's or 4's after that. The sit ups weren't a problem.
I just hope the shoulders get a rest tomorrow.

workout rx'd
16:39 or 16:59...can't remember.
MUCH harder than it looks. By round two my shoulders were spent.
Fun none the less..

I am off to NYC, see you all in one week!

Training consistency - I find working out first thing in the morning to be the best for me. Have it out of the way and then get on with the rest of my day. I also find accountability helps. It helps that I know that you and Tania expect me to be there and notice if I am not. At this gym we are not anonymous. We are known by name (or nickname!) and that helps me. Also, seeing the results of the workouts makes me want to come in and get my 5 workouts a week in. You guys make it fun and interesting so that helps too.
