Power Snatch – 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
All right, let’s set the record straight about this stuff.

Ok. Ibuprofen has no place in the life of the athlete obsessed with chasing performance.
Taking an anti-inflammatory drug of any kind makes tendons and ligaments weaker, and stops muscles from getting stronger.

I am in complete agreement with the “say no” to drugs bit.
I had taken many Ibus at my last half iron this summer, as was recommended and suggested by many in my triathlon club. I normally dont’ take any medication so I wasn’t in the know. I did what was recommended: take IBU prior to the start, at transition and on the bike. It was quite the horrific ride, my knees were killing so I just kept popping them hoping it would hurt less, in totaly I took 13 in my 6:32 race. The worst thing I could have ever done, I paid for it for around 12 hours after, I can live with muscle pain, but that was not muscle pain, it was my body freaking out with the nasty drugs! SICK SICK SICK!!!
Haven’t touched them since.
I find it interesting that for the swamp donkey this weekend, we are required to bring IBU with us, I can assure you, no one on my team will be ingesting them!
Just say NO!

I’ve actually noticed since starting CrossFit and drinking copious amounts of fish oil that I no longer get headaches (to which the only thing that helped anymore were T3′s since I’ve become immune to most other painkillers) Weee!
Besides, I love that day-after muscle pain. I wine, I grimace, I limp and hobble, but it feels so awesome. I know I’ve done a good job then
No pain no gain, right?

I need to start chugging back the fish oil I think.

@ Brendan. I giggled at the ‘friends help you off the toilet’… cause after Murph.. It was touch and go getting on AND off the toilet. Sometimes I would sit there going… how the hell am I going to get off now? lol

I brag at work and to all my friends all the time…why do you think you get so many referals from me…hahahaha…
I did the ice bath thing while training for my full marathon in 06… I trained the “old school” way and needed something after the Sunday LSDs…IT REALLY WORKS for reducing inflammation and doms…@brendan

Power snatch
7 work sets of 3-4 reps/set
Started at 50# and built up to 80#
The 80# set felt a little sloppy..so I actually finished with a solide set @ 75#

I did program B- cannot remember all of the numbers. Started at 65, finished at 90. PR for me, but MLC u know I wanted to match your 100!! Nice job!!
I couln’t row 500m today, I literally couldn’t finish it. I was totally disheartened. I tried and my heart felt like it was going to explode. I have some stress to manage, I’ll take a crack at it again when I can breath.

@Crystal KP
I told B this morning that I didn’t want to write my numbers on the board cuz I knew you would chase it!
But you will blow past my 100 in no time, that I am sure of.
