Workout of the Day

Four rounds for time of:
100 ft Walking lunge, carrying 30 pound dumbbells
24 inch Box Jump, 30 reps
30 pound Weighted pull-ups, 20 reps

    I am SOOOO proud of you today!! 80 kipping pull ups today, no band! I believed you had the ability/strength to do it, and now you can believe it too. Great work and proves once again that it is just as much a mental battle as it is physical, and you won both of those today.

    just a funny comment I have to share–I’m temporarily working at an office right now, and saw my colleague dumping her very own personal coffee whitener into her coffee.I said “you don’t use the cream here?” and she said “Coffeemate is so much moer healthier”….WTF??? Wow, I guess that’s because it has “less fat” in it which to her means healthier, but I bit my tongue hard so I wouldn’t go into my rant about the “white death” my colleague at my last job used to refer to it so lovingly

    It’s heartbreaking to listen to ppl talk about health when they are so clearly uniformed. Good for you for biting your tongue, that’s so hard!

    I see it everyday too, I get the “everything in moderation” line all the time so this weekend I asked “if that included poison, in moderation of course?”. Made em think! (You can only do this with someone who really likes you)

    And for anyone following along with my recipes, I tried making the nut butter bread with sunflower seed butter and it doesn’t taste very good. The seed chunks also turn green when you cook them so it looks and tastes funky…it’s edible, just don’t try it for yourself.

    oh no!! I was going to try sunflower seed butter bread. Did you mix the sunflower butter yourself? or use a store bought nut butter? I really like this recipe I had eggs and nut butter bread “toast” this morning…amazing!

    I hear you…Try having playdate upon playdate with moms who don’t even feed their kids food…it is all chemicals!!! it is so sad. I have to bite my tongue often, or my children would never be invited for playdates again!

    MLC I honestly wouldn’t have even attempted to do it without you…had my pink band all set up to swith over after a few unassisted reps at the top of each round…thanx babe…I love how you push me…inspire me during wods (ie wearing that weighted vest today…and much more…)…and help me turn negative thoughts into positve ones…

    I have been told that “everyone has to find what works for them”. Apparently eating poison works for some people! I have permanent teeth marks in my tongue from biting it so hard. I have to not comment or I won’t be invited along anymore either.

    Found the ring rows really slowed me down. Had to break them up and by the end was doing them one at a time. I can sure tell that I haven’t been doing upper body work for a while.

    I’m taking a break from marking and working out vicariously through you guys…I bought the seed butter to try something besides almonds, almonds, and more almonds, but I don’t really like it. It also smelled funny when I tried making toast.

    And 80 unassisted pull-ups, way to go! I read today that we (people wanting to get fitter) should do max rep pull-ups whenever there’s something to do a pull-up with…I was eyeing the bar between the toilet stalls in the staff washroom today but I don’t think it would hold me…

  • …that’s pretty funny Kimberly…because ever since I started cf…I eyeball things like door frames…and window sills and usually I can’t resist so I latch on and pullup…or a bench somewhere and I just want to jump on it…! I want to climb things !!!…so don’t worry somehow I don’t we are alone with these urges…@kimberly
