So Erika, you and me gonna conquer those box jumps tomorrow?
November 19, 2009 at 9:44 am
Does anyone know when it is a good time to go for a massage? My lower back is trashed after power cleans, deadlifts, no abmat situps, GHD situps and four hours of kettle bells. (did not listen to my body again.)
I don’t know if I should wait untill I can stand upright
or should I go right now.
Kind Regards,
Eric

I can’t make it in tonight so I tried a cfe wod, I did yesterday’s, it was challenging enough! A good change of pace, literaly!

@Eric
I would try going to the chiropractor first. If the muscles are really tense a massage might be too painful. Get adjusted first and then go.
@kimberly
Well you definitely conquered the box jumps! Good job today.
@b-mac
I couldn’t agree more. Today is a perfect example of why I do not check the website before I go in. Yeesh is right!
WOD – not a good box jump day for me. Got to 23 inches. Have gotten higher before. Just wasn’t feeling it today. 2000 meter row – 9:11. Had to rush off to a physio appt so didn’t have a chance to see how that time measures against previous attempts.

Box jump: 33.5″ One inch higher than last time!
2000M Row: 8:45

Just got back from a workout at CrossFit Central. Got a crazy PR on my shoulder press: 85lbs! up from 78lbs back in July! I tried 80, which felt easy, but the smallest plates they had were 2.5lbs so I had to try 85lbs and it went up no problem. Failed at 90lbs, but it was close. I’ll be pressing my goal weight of 93lbs in no time…

@turbo
you are amazing!!!

@Eric
I second Erika’s suggestion

@turbo
Awesome!
I hit a max of 34.5″ on the box+plates setup but I’ve hit 36″ before so I attempted the tires and made it
Totally a head game, not being able to get your feet to leave the floor is an odd feeling. And I really surprised myself with an 8:05 row time, I’m pretty sure that was all coaching though, thanks Coach!

@Erika I am going to see Rob tomorrow morning. Gotta get back in shape for the Barbell Certification!!
I was really pissed because I saw the WOD and Brendan and I were just talking about the 2k row. As soon as I am back I am going to give it a go….

2000 (gasp) meter row 7:40
46″ BJ
thanks Steve – otherwise i was going to unstrap my feet from that rower and keel over at 1600m. Im still sitting here wheezing like an 80 year old pipe smoker – good times.
November 19, 2009 at 9:03 pm
….7:29 for the row, bloody shins for the box jumps.
November 19, 2009 at 9:42 pm
Congrats to you all today…I don’t want to name names in case I forget someone !
There were some fantastic row times on the board today…some great box jumping and even some PRs out in Austin…NICE WORK PEOPLE!!

@chris
LOL – I can second that! If it wasn’t for Steve pushing me on I was ready to wuss out too! Harder to quit when there is someone behind you yelling at you (in the most positive way!)
@turbo
Congratulations – that is awesome!
