Workout of the Day
A. 5 Rounds of:
Front Squat 2-3 reps @ 20X1; rest up to 180 sec
Chin ups [3 strict/6 kipping/9 chest to bar]; rest up to 180 sec*
B. 5 Rounds of:
15 toes to bar; rest exactly 45 sec**
15 GHD Raises; rest exactly 45 sec**
* If you drop off the bar, the set is over; we will modify to something appropriate to your skill level as necessary
** Do 15 reps, or until you break the set
Categories: GHD Raise, T2B, chin ups, front squat

I thought chest to bar was harder than straight kipping? Why 9 of those but only 6 kipping?
it’s an exercise in c2b under fatigue
it may be appropriate to switch those two exercises, for example, for some people
OH ha ha I read that as an option (like pick one of the three.) My bad.
hey, we had this picture already
On a completely unrelated note, I found this picture on a blog I read and found it to be extremely CrossFit-appropriate. The link is safe, I swear! I’ll see everyone on Monday!

Front squat
Had no idea what weigth to do on this so I did all 5 rounds at BWT
3 x 140#
2 strict + 3 C2B + 6 kip (without coming off the bar)
Again too much chatting…part B later today…
Back trashed form those KB swings….. Front squats suffered after 12 hours rest….
185 205 225 x 3 (3 sets)
Watch your chin on the pull-ups today everyone
My Chins ended up being scaled after I knocked myself right off the bar and almost out on butterfly pull-ups…. what a train wreck…( I kinda looked like B after his insane 2k row
(I also scaled b/c I could not get the numbers on the last two sets..
)
T2B 15 14 10 10 10
GHD (raises) 15 15 15 15 15
Side note:
1) Bradass was our coach this am and was awesome.
2)Tapout’s impeccable form is something to watch, last night’s KB swings and today’s front squats were a veritable clinic…

A.
205(3)-225(3)-235(2)-245(2)-255(2)
All pullup rounds rx’d, but 2 and 5 were with the vest
…the set at 235 should’ve been 3 but hadn’t decided on the # of reps before I started
B.
I think I meant to write this as 3 rounds. Don’t worry if you don’t get it all done. Personally this part of the workout was really rough for me. Only did 2 sets of GHD raises (14, 9) cuz my calf cramped on the first set and I was anxious that my hamstrings might cramp next. Toes to bar on the 2″ bar were rough, too. After quitting the GHD raises I did a whole bunch of sets between 4 and 7 reps playing with strict and kipping versions.
Sorry for the workout being so long… like I said, I swear I had written it to be shorter. So, either give yourself a bit more time to do it, or cut it short… maybe 3-4 rounds of A (make’em heavy!) and 2-3 rounds of B.
Ok, my legs are worse today than yesterday from those pistols Wed night…anyone else experiencing make-you-walk-funny doms?? I’ve had some concerned students ask me what happened, and that’s with me making an effort to walk and sit normally
@tapout
HOLY CRAP! I want your BW! would help make a few things easier, like other WODs!!! lol!
Eric you were quite entertaining on our first official 6am “date”…and on that note how is your hand doing post barbell crash…?
Thank you for the encouragement on the lifts and pull ups…:)@Eric
I did all 5 rounds of front squats at 3 x 85#. Pullups were 1 weighted negative using 30# weight, 3 chest to bar on the blue band and 5 strict on the blue band. Managed to do full set first three rounds then 1/3/4 and 1/3/3.
Didn’t read second part correctly so did all five rounds but not unbroken.
@Charise
Love that picture and caption!
@tapout
Absolutely no problem Nic….
Well, I am nothing if not entertaining…. Funny I was getting some food ready (imagine that) and I could not figure out why my hand was so sore ….knucklehead…
I think I need some rest. I was going over my log and I have not taken a day off in 12 days…. Saturday I guess…..
E.
Only had time to do Part A
Front Squats 235(3), 255(3), 260(2), 260(2), 260(2) Last couple were killer
Did 3/6/9 for pull ups as rx’d
OMG 12 days…you bet Saturday is rest day !!!
Episode 99 CFR Robert Ord shares inspiring words about discipline…skills…choices…and courage…he said that part of being disciplined is taking REST days…
Another good one MLC shared with me…sorry I don’t know who’s quote it is…it goes something like this…”Exercise is the architect – Rest is the builder”@Eric
