Check out this blog post from Chef at CrossFit Breakaway.

Let’s hear what you’ve accomplished so far.  Did you drop a pant size?  Did you get your first pull-up?

  • chile and a salad for lunch. I’ve dropped about 12 pounds since starting the challenge and had to go buy new clothes as none of mine fit anymore.

  • Tomato soup, chicken Cesar wrap – i ate one half of the wrap and the other half i dissected.

Accomplishments? Well i find one of the biggest accomplishments is that when i eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack i am choosing to eat real food and stress out about it a lot less than usual. And i would say i succeed. Sure i make choices – such as the one today to eat half the wrap – i am not saying it was a bad or good choice – it was a choice to do so.
Another accomplishment since the pant size thing was asked – i have dropped a few pant sizes. I have actually made a choice not to purchase anymore pants. Because even my new PALEO pants do not fit. And i look like a popper with the excess of my belt hanging over to my pocket.
Generally my WOD’s are performed to close to my genetic potential. My training usually does not hinge on the crap that is in my body or the extra sludge i am hosting around my belly.
I cannot see myself ever reverting back to the way i used to consume.

  • Lunch today was a Mediterranian salad at McD’s. Best choice I could make as that’s where we ended up.

As far as accomplishments, I wasn’t eating crap and I wasn’t trying to lose weight. I’ve held steady at my weight but notched in my belt a notch. My conditioning is better, I’ve moved up a scale on the MP WOD (to porch from pack on brandx) and I’ll have a chance to test for any strength gains in the next couple of days with some deadlifts and back squats. My cravings for junk are disappearing quickly and I am making much better choices. I think the biggest change is my level of patience with my kids, it seems to be much greater and I think it has helped my parenting skills which is the best benefit ever ! Other parents may or may not feel the same but controlling insulin makes a huge difference for me.

  • working the night shift has mixed things up a little so for “lunch”.

I am posting a day late but I had salad with steak strips and black olives…

    Changes…..

Well, I am down about 5″ in my waist (have not been there since I was 24…..(a LONG time ago)…

I have more energy, and influenced my brother to change his eating habits……

    I Feel good….

    E.

  • Lunch: Spaghetti squash with ground bison.

I have also noticed quit a change. I have lost 2″ on my waist and 8lbs. Like chris I am not buying new clothes yet as not sure where i will end up. Have also noticed a big change in energy levels…especially in my workouts. I am no longer just focusing on finishing a WOD, but I am focused and finishing STRONG.
