Cravings? Many times when switching over from a traditional American diet you may find yourself craving the “normal” foods you once consumed. Now that you have been eating clean for 36 days, those cravings should have subsided. If they have not, you may find the link below interesting and worth trying. Now it does say legumes in there but you know how we feel about those.

Interesting article. My physical cravings have stopped but I still have emotional cravings. I miss certain “comfort foods” or “treat foods”. I crave them more as an emotional response rather than a physical one. Anyone else?
Dinner tonight is going to be meatballs with veggies. I have to go grocery shopping so the veggies will depend on what I find. I want to get some butternut squash and try the latkes from yesterday. They sound great.

Dinner yesterday Feb 22 was shrimp cooked with onions and garlic, and veggies broccoli and cauliflower. Once cooked mixed together makes for a nice combination. Tonight leftovers.

I don’t necessarily have cravings for anything. However, if it happens to come across my path, then I may think I neeeed to have it. For example, Pizza. I do enjoy it, but I don’t ever crave it… unless people beside me are having it then I may cave. So I try to keep my self away from these situations for the most part.
Made sushi sans rice yesterday for dindin. It came out great. I whisked an egg and fried it really thin, then put that on top of the seaweed paper. Then I added smoked salmon, avocado, carrots and cucumbers (thinly sliced), spinach and a couple capers. They rolled up really nice and stayed together when I cut them. The salmon was a bit overwhelming for my entire meal… but will definitely make them again for a side dish or appi’s.

Ummm, I don’t have any physical cravings. Occassionally on a tough day I psychologically crave the things I used to turn to for comfort, but with a headshake, it’s gone…or when I wake up at 2:00 a.m. and I am STARVINg it takes a little mental gymnastics to avoid having crackers with P.B. ’cause meat just doesn’t sound appealing at that time of the morning. lol
Din: pickerel with spag. squash and salad.

Cravings…mostly emotional…as long as I’m busy and loving life…those cravings are no problem. and let me tell you…I’m enjoying life a whole lot more now that I’m feeling more energetic & sleeping better. I think the no cheese & pasta thing is the trick for me. About 5 years ago I went to a blood analysis clinic and was told to avoid cheese & pasta & turkey…that my body just wouldn’t do well on these. I minimized them…but on this challenge I eliminated them…makes a difference for sure.
supper last night…didn’t happen…I came home from work with headache & went straight to bed. however, today’s supper is going to be grilled chicken & asparagus…yum, yum.

Tonight was our favourite homemade hot wings with chili pepper, pepper, a bit of almond flour and lottsa hot sauce. I love using the convection function of the oven to make ‘em super a bit crispy. Add to it a nice big side of veg medley and voilia a good meal.

A veggy stirfry; cauliflower, orange pepper, celery and onion with ground beef and two strips of chopped bacon, stuck together with some crushed tomato, tasted like spagetti, I have it for breakfast today too.
