  • killer morning. Thanks to Pascal for pushing us through.

being 6’2” and then having to stand on the plate to deadlift was tough….feels like the bar is travelling forever!

Just came off a brutal weekend for diet and activity….just can’t do that stuff anymore.

    deadlifts broken quite a bit
row was ok until round 3 and I felt like i was going to explode
    K2E are what they are
    40:30 as rx’d…..

  • @BRad
Killer? Thats an understatement! This was a definite grinder.

Blasted through on the deadlifts broke reps at 20 & 15.
The row was silent but deadly (PACE IS KEY ON THIS)

K2E: Is what it is I agree

    40:51 as Rx’d

  • As rx’d 42.28.
Ensured knees touched elbows for every rep, missed a few so had to re-do.
    Used 50# DBs for DL.
    Grip!!

  • That was just ugly! Thanks Pascal for counting down the DL’s for me and B for counting down the last 5 K2E – definitely helps

Deadlifts @ 85# – really struggled with them, kept getting light headed and dizzy. Had to break them into sets of 7 to start and then sets of 5 for the last round.
Surprisingly for me the row was not the worst part of this. I agree Rich – pacing was definitely key.
K2E was K2chest for me but I made sure each rep was to my chest.

    43:33

  • It was definitely a grinder. The hardest part for me was the deadlifts. I found the row to be the easiest part. I kept a pace of 2:00/500m and found that I was able to keep that pace pretty consistently through out the 3 sets. The K2E are definitely tough given that your grip strength is trashed form deads and rowing.

    rx’d 31:46

Good job to everyone who did the WOD this morning between 6 and 8 am. That is a killer workout that early in the morning. It was impressive to watch you all fight through it!

    Pascal

@MLC Good job on the K2E’s Mel. You definitely touched knees to elbows on every rep (diligently).

  • @Pascal
Holy shit Pascal, nice time!! Did you do that on your own after?

And I was the opposite, deads were fine, K2E killed me. Again, testing all areas. Gotta have it.

  • looks like it was a killer wod…soooo jealous…I will be away from the gym until Monday…boooo….

  • @Pascal
    nice time bro. that’s sick!

  • 30:58 as rx’d on opt blog (deads-75#db/hand).

  • Stephen…that was killer …. I wanted to stay and watch to the end….. impressive for sure.

I struggled a little today, had to sub the K2E and went with 1-1 GHD sit-ups. (150 in total….ouch)

Even though MLC was calling me out I could not have done anymore. I caved on the last round and it went to hell….

    What a WOD……

    Kind Regards,

    E.

  • @E
    Thanks, man…

Dude, you say you “caved”, but it didn’t look like it from where I was standing…I saw a consistent bad-ass effort right through til the end…nice work tonight, man!

  • @E
That’s what I do baby. Push the envelope. ;)

  • ;)

  • hell yeah…finally figured out the smiley faces…small pleasures! ;) ;)

  • Tough one, it really hurt. 48:37 rx’d. My goal was not to rip before I finished. Done and done. No rips, but I’ve got couple new hard puffy blisters under the old rips, good times. I swear the deads were the hardest for me, that was a long way down. I treated myself with a super awesome, blueberry, raspberry, grapefruit, avocado shake, easily the highlight of the night!

  • Holly Crap….my back is sore and so is my ab. Nice work MLC i kinda hate you… ;)
