Just came across this quote: “Full effort is full victory”…
Was thinking the same thing the other day during my workout. As part of my recovery from the accident in January I’ve been trying to get rowing capacity back up. I was rowing the other day for a time trial and could see that I was not going to “beat” my personal best. But, what I knew I was doing was giving everything that I had for that day. We often talk about competing against yourself. I can’t even compete against myself right now, but I can offer everything I have. And I recognize that that is a victory maybe even more significant in the long run.
Sectionals Athletes… whether or not you feel the events rolled out in your favour, seeing you bring your full effort is what everyone will be cheering for this weekend!
Email me or call me if you have any questions/concerns.

I like that quote, from OPTs site today. Sectionals athletes: if you are planning on trng today I would reccomend checking OPTs site today and follow that wod. Don’t go heavy on the OHS and think about technique and strategize your approach. Thrusters, this is going to be pure will. Visualize your movement, get into your happy place and just go. Concentrate on your breathing and go for it. These are great wods and its anyones game. See you on Sat!!

Oops, just noticed the wod was changed to that. My bad.

@smokey jojo
lol… that dude is strong, but his range of motion is *horrible*… if you’re going to go to all that effort … why not add a couple inches and do it right????
Now… coach derek’s brother, that’s another thing:

@brendan
I agree – horrible range of motion. You would never let us get away with that! He needs to watch the video of Derek’s brother and see how it is done properly.

@brendan
@Erika
Agreed. Would be interesting to see what his time was with a Cfit Judge present.
