  • On these 2,2,1,1 or 1,1,1…are we suppose to go as heavy as possible? Like a 1RM or more like a heavy single…

  • @brendan
And as if they pick the one lift I’ve never done! But at least there’s rowing to balance out the running :)

  • good workout this AM.

didn’t go 1RM but got to 225# on the squat
    all pullups unbroken
double unders and burpees were good and pretty fast.

coming back in this afternoon to do yesterday’s wod. i need to be doing muscle ups right now. if anyone wants in i will be there at 6

  • @Tapout it’s heavy singles, whatever feels heavy today… may or may not be a PR…

  • no pr’s for me today. haven’t back squatted since Feb
Back Squat: 165#, 175 (f), 170 (f) back in December I was doing this for 5 reps so I guess not squatting for 5 months will do that…j
    Pull-ups: all unbroken very easy

Double Unders and Burpees: unbroken and easy

going for a run this afternoon

  • Subbed split squats for back squat today. 3 sets 5 reps, 15#-17.5#-20# Used blue band for chin ups, first two sets unbroken, last set was 13/2.

Unbroken double unders? Yeah – right!

    Unbroken burpees.

  • @Kimberly
I am missing my 7 a.m. workout partner!

  • I know what you mean about losing numbers on the squat. Just recently I, too, failed a single with my previous 5 RM!

  • @Erika
Sorry! I intend to keep coming Thursday mornings but today is a rest day for Regina, and it would have been my 4th day on. Last week I was snuggled up with Tyler :P How is your back? Oh and I finally found my DU rhythm!

  • @Kimberly
The back is recovered. I got the official “ok” from the chiropractor today. Good for you on the DU rhythm – I actually managed about 12 in a row today!!

  • I can’t make it in today. Instead I think I’m going to go for a run and then will practice my DU’s at home.

    @Erika
What awesome news about your back! Yay! :)

  • @Nicole B
Thanks – I am very happy!! Good luck with the DU practice.

  • @Nicole B
If you have trouble peeling eggs, cut them in half after boiling them and then take a spoon and scrape along the outside of the shell. Works perfectly.

  • Was really in the groove this am and the back squats felt good so I pushed hard. 255, 265(not quite deep enough), 265(heels to ass). 10# PR which is nice considering how long I was stuck at 245 before getting 255 just a few weeks ago. Some great tips from Steve this am greatly helped the cause.

Chinups, DUs and burpees were fast felt good. Only DU were broken.

    1@195#
    1@205#
    215# F
    215# F

I have done 210# recently but really struggled at 215#…bailed (maybe too quick) both times as soon as I felt my back arch a bit…I know I can do this…

    Pull ups unbroken
DUs 2 rnds unbroken then felt my calf pull so I stopped
    Burpees…did’em

PS. Thank you very much Kelly for lending me your pants…

  • and CONGRATS to Natty…for that big PR today…nice work girl!

  • @tapout – no worries whatsoever on the pants. It may be the only time they see a 215# squat :P

Stopped at 175 ’cause the back didn’t feel warm on the first, then by three was thinking I should have added more.

Actually DID a DU or two, so YAY! Good WOD today, good energy! Thanks for the great work out ladies (and Pascal). Loved the balance work!

  • @MLC
Thanks for the tip!!I can’t believe I have never thought of that before. :)
