Great job on this month's PRs

Workout of the Day

“Jackie”

1000 meter row
45 pound Thruster, 50 reps
30 pull-ups

Now the the Real Food Challenge is over, we wanted to provide a forum for our members to discuss nutrition and share their ideas, recipes and logs.  We’ll try to set up a separate food blog but for now we have a couple of options.  First, you can post on the workout of the day blog, where we occasionally post nutritional info, just not as regularly as we did during the real food challenge.  Second, you can use our Facebook page.   I’ve set up a discussion forum and set up permissions so that all the page fans can participate in discussions, post photos and share links.  We already have a thread started called Real Food but you can start your own thread to use for your food log or discussions.

  • Re: Food blog and Facebook page…Thanx T…that is great…Ironically I started a FB group yesterday called Real Food Jibber Jabber…so we can all just disregard that group and go with what Tania has posted…

  • Genevieve, Anne, Mich and Carole from 6AM…I put the wrong time on the board for you this AM. please take 3 mins off your times. i have corrected it on the board.

    sorry :)

  • @Turbo
    That’s ok.. It still kicked my ass!! But it was good!!!

  • sweet! Jackie’s a bitch!
    Kudos to Sarge for an awesome first coaching experience! Unlike Dewy.. you’re not just pretty, but smart too..

  • Yikes-Doing Jackie the day after doing Fran was absolutely killer!

    After being called out by Brad(thanks!) I ended up doing the thrusters RX’d and man was it tough! As tough as the thrusters were the pull-ups at the end were still the worst!

    @Michelle
    Agreed-Way to go “Sarge” on an awesome first coaching experience! The class this morning rocked!

  • @Genevieve
    sorry. I wrote that note there, I forgot to sign out of Turbo’s account first. sorry for the mixup on the times. there was a lot going on there.

    @Michelle

  • @Nicole B
    Thanks!!

    I stayed and did the WOD after the 6AMers. finished in 8:22 rx’d. the thrusters kicked my butt!

  • Jackie in November, 45# pink band was 14:51
    Jackie today, 45# oldest blue band in 11:37 :)
    (But can someone from this morning please confirm I used 45#, I wanted to and I think I did but I can’t remember)

  • Are Fran and Jackie related? Sisters? Cousins maybe?
    Either way, I’m not a fan of that family..
    8:11 Rx’d

  • @BRad
    No prob Brad!

    Thanks for pushing me during the pull ups.. Both Nicole and Brad!!! It helps :)

  • @Ninja
    Hmmm…Fran and Jackie could be sisters, but either way, they’re BITCHES!!! lol
    was gonna do rx’d, but felt ill before starting…hoped it would pass…
    But didn’t–was really close to pukin today! The row felt great, 45# thrusters not bad, but going into pullups felt tough so did it with old-ass blueband.
    Finished 8:53
    next time: unassisted pullups so I don’t piss off Jackie!

  • Ahhhh – so hate to miss these wods. Back is still recovering and wisdom is saying to take a couple of days and let it heal properly. Couldn’t reach my feet to put socks on this morning. Chiropractor, heat and to keep moving are my plans for today. When I am back to normal again, I want a crack at Fran!

  • @Erika
    just keep treating it and take your time to heal. just make sure you come back with a vengeance :)

  • @Erika
    Good plan my dear, thinking of you – heal up!

  • @Erika
    Definitely take your time and let it heal-your don’t want to come back too soon only to re-injure it! That being said hope you are able to put your socks on again soon! :)

  • @Brad and Jojo – thanks, this happens periodically to me, the good news is that it is happening less and less and I am healing faster from it. It is hard to wait it out though especially when I am missing all these benchmark wods! How messed up is it that I was more upset about not being able to do Fran than I was about the pain in my back?!!

  • @Erika
    haha…it means you’re in the club!
    maybe all those PR’s are putting stress on your back? :)

  • @Nicole B
    Thanks Nicole – I know wisdom says take the time – I am just impatient! Good thing it is warmer outside and I don’t really need socks!

    @BRad
    Never!! Keep those PR’s coming!!

  • Thrusters and I are not friends but today was better than yesterday…I like Jackie more than Fran, the lesser of two beeotchs I guess ;)

    7:42 rx’d compared to 10:15 last time we did it so I am happy.

  • 10:15 Rx’d
    Shaved almost 2 mins from last time (Rx’d)

    Row 4:14
    Thrusters 25-15-10
    Pull ups 5-5-3s and a bunch of 2s

    Thanks Coach Steve for pushing me to get back on the bar…I love being pushed like that…and actually for the record…I LOVE getting yelled at during wods…the louder and the more swears the better!!

  • …..6:35, Rx’d, first time doing this one. Took it a bit too easy on the rowing, kept the pullups unbroken, though.

  • 8:16 Rx. I want to be able to get that mental toughness to not have to drop the bar on thrusters or come off the bar on pullups. Sometimes i feel like its all a mental game

  • 10:24 Rx’d. I was going for sub-11 so I’m happy with this. The row went relatively well, I was able to keep pace between 2:15 and 2:25 for most of the row, which is huge for me, and the thrusters weren’t so bad. Broke them up into something like 16-12-9-8-5. but the pullups were way harder than expected I wanted to do 10-10-10 but it was 10-5-5-5-3-2.

    @Harvey
    definitely a mental game – I hear ya

  • …is it just me or is this one of the few wods where the men and women’s RX are the same?

  • @nic
    my pleasure. Nice work tonight!

  • @Tapout
    I agree with the yelling…..don’t be nice just yell and swear at me
