  • Whats the clean weight for the ladies??

  • @Kristin
They are heavy doubles, individualized. Keep increasing weight.

  • @MLC
…I think she means in the 2nd part, men is 135# and women?

  • Duh. 85/95#. Now, me being me, I’d say 95#.

  • Power clean was 55-65-70. Then used 55# for the 10 unbroken during the workout. I actually enjoyed getting to work on my technique for the Power Cleans.

On a food related note-does anyone know of somewhere to get fresh farm eggs?? Right now we have been getting Vita Eggs from Millers Meats but I really want to get some fresh ones.

  • @Nicole B
You can call some Hutterite farms, should be some fairly close to Winnipeg.

  • We get our eggs from a Hutterite Farm. Natalie’s mom teaches music at one and gets us eggs almost when ever we want. I can look into it more if you want.

  • @Nicole B
I think Harbourside has eggs (they’re the ones who deliver the meat), maybe check with them.

Hit 105, 125, and 135 for the PC

Used 95# on the WOD, and did the pull-up/dip combo in lieu of muscle ups, total time 14:?. First 6 were strict pullups, last 9 were using the blue band (all blue band dips). I would have needed too much rest to do them all strict. Major congrats to Mandy though, she rocked the kipping today!

    Let me know too, please!

  • I actually ended up getting a 1RM PR on the clean at #105…so close to getting the 2nd one up. I’ll take it though as this was my first heavy weight workout after my injury time off.
As for the pullups… (thatnks for the kudos Kim)… it was the first time I did kipping… and it was super fun. Next up… keeping the rhythm.

  • @Motha
Nice work Mandy! Just make sure you keep working on those strict pullups. To avoid injury, we want you at at least 3 strict chin ups before you start high speed/ high rep kipping in workouts.

  • Power Cleans: 105#, 110#, 115#
    WOD: 2:47/2:35 rx’d

  • @Nicole B
yes, Harbourside will bring them if you ask. and they are wonderfully fresh. when you boil them they are almost impossible to peel, which is supposed to be a sign that they are fresh

  • @Turbo
I can do at least 3 strict pullups right now. I didn’t even know I could kip, but I refused to use a band last night… so I had to get myself up there somehow… and I could only do so many of the stricts. The kipping was fun, just need to learn how to keep rhythm.
Will keep working on stricts though… my goal is to get to 10.

  • @Motha
    beautiful! keep it up…

  • Thanks for the suggestions on where to find eggs everyone!!!

    @Turbo
I will definitely be asking for some in my next order from Harbourside. Thanks for the tip on how to tell whether they are fresh-good to know!! :)
